"To succeed it is necessary to accept the world as it is and rise above it." ~Michael Korda
Diary:
I have been feeling pretty tired and unenthused lately. It has been difficult to wake up in time to make a meaninful breakfast and get lunch ready for work.
Therefore, I have been missing breakfasts (not good) and getting lunch at the deli next door from work. I have been choosing good foods, today I had a protien bar for breakfast, a chicken-taco salad (lots of veggies and salsa, with cooked chicken on top), and just had a breadstick (bland).
Notes:
As mentioned, I have been pretty tired, depressed, and uninterested. I haven't been excited about my work, and am going to start looking for a new church. I am also still doing interviews for a new job. Last week was a pretty stressful week. I was somewhat humiliated in front of others by the Council Chairman at the church I have gone to. It was something that struck me as the last straw on a series of problems, and have decided that I need to be able to worship without such debate and confusion getting in the way.
Man, I need a vacation....
I did not get to the gym last week. I am going to drag my ass to the gym tonight, becuase I need some outlet for frustration and maybe it will get me back into the zone...
Last night I did a lot. I swept leaves in my patio, in order to get them eventually into garbage bags. I washed laundry and dishes, organized my work-bookbag and worked on my budget. It was eye-opening to see where I spent money during the last two months. I also called my credit card companies to attempt to reduce interest rates, called my cable company to see about lowering my rates, and tracked my heat and electricity over the last 12 months. They have a new program that locks you into a certain rate per month, which helps people who may have large winter heating bills. I don't think this applies to me, becuase they suggested $49 per month for a year, but looking at my heating bills, there were 5 months in a row that my bill was only $14. A couple months, the bill went to $60, then $80, but averaged about $40. I will just cut back on my heating if I need to save money.
So, anyway, last night I did spend a lot of time getting prepared for the next step. I need to figure a savings plan to get rid of some debt. This was a good prep for getting this done.
Another story about the world trying to get me down. Today I got a memo from my consulting agency that our health insurance is giving discounts for the LifeTime fitness (which I cancelled my membership in August.) AAACK. One of the reasons for me quiting LifeTime was the cost was too high.
Random link.. http://www.rhymezone.com/ I found this site when doing some research on writing. Don't worry, this site could not find a rhyme for "orange" either.
more later
