LFL - DAY 1

Motivation:

"Setting a goal is not the main thing.
It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan." ~Tom Landry

Diary:

So after a couple weeks of coasting, and a raise in body weight.....
Chazz Vader is BACK!

Thanks to those of you who have offered questions, concerns and well wishes. It is appreciated.

Just so you know, the last week wasn't necessarily an off week. I actually did go to the gym Mon-Fri and ate fairly well. I was out and about at ball games (Twins win big this last week..) and for the first time in over 2 years, I went golfing. More on that later...

I think the key for sliding wasn't that I didn't go through the paces, because I did. What I didn't do was have a passion for doing everything well. It did take a while to get back that killer instict, heroic motivation. I can't say that I feel it totally yet, but I am getting there. I think after we kick this week, it may be back.

2 things did happen this weekend that sparked my re-entry into the program.
1) Golfing. I golfed the best of my life. I didn't use any clubs, just irons, and by golly, when I watched the ball (the way my brother taught me) and just relaxed in the swing, I hit the ball straight and long. It was fun. I hit a 55, which is awesome for me on 9 holes. I can't wait to play again. It was a hot sunny day, but beautiful. I sweat like a pig, but didn't care.

2) Got an email with one of the lines referring to someone who was "dinking around" with an exercise and eating routine for 4 or 5 attempts, and becoming frustrated. Only after this person committed to being faithful to the program and to themselves did they see results.

I have the plan and the ability. It is time to put the peices together.

Notes:

Two other big things happened in the history of CV this weekend. Happy Father's day to my dad, and his dad on Sunday. Happy Anniversary to my parents on Saturday.

I have been delinquent in getting measurements updated. Does anyone care to see where I am at? Not even me. It is recorded and will appear on the side of the blog, but I won't repeat it here.

more later, Chazz.

Welcome back Chazz! We missed you and are glad to know you are back in the game. Go get 'em boy! By the way, who is your new measurement official? Or are you handling this role?

Every storm needs a lull to gather new energy and enthusiasm. I imagine you as the Minnesota Twins about to sweep Boston!(Pittsburgh never had a chance!) Justin Morneau at the plate with bases loaded! Chaz Vader at the Tee out-driving his buddies with a 5 iron!Smooth and powerful and confident. KaWhaaaam! Shazaaaam! And yet so cool in that air-conditioned Rondezvous!
