#1 - A beautiful blonde running in front of me at the gym. She was muscular and had a long ponytail. Very cute. Very motivating. I ran a little harder than I did yesterday. It was good.

Notes:
As you might be able to tell, I am feeling a little amourous today. It must be the Valentines day bug hitting me. On the radio this morning, the hosts were imploring single people to stick with it, and that they should feel good that they won't lose any money on trinkets, cards, flowers, candy for their significant other. I guess that is some comfort, although in an odd way. The one thing I do get for being single is the ability to oogle good loking chicks at the health club without an ounce of guilt that I am sinning against my girlfriend, fiance, wife, etc. I can have all sorts of romantic thoughts of these anonymous (sweaty) women and feel totally secure that I am not harming a soul. In fact, it might even be good for my heart.
On the other hand, it would be nice to be at the point where feel confident enough to go up to blonde #1 and get rejected, but be rejected NOT because of my size and weight, but be rejected becuase I am a geeky, creepy, pathetic loser! That would be exciting.
One of my cheerleaders at work asked "what are we going to do after we have reached our goal? Is life always going to be this hard?"
That was a good question. I can only imagine what life will be like when I am at the goal of under 14% body fat. For one thing, this is a huge goal that is going to take at least a year to do, and then the REAL BATTLE is keeping it off for a year. That will be the ultimate goal. Anyone can lose weight, but the real hero is the one who keeps it lost and continues with a normal life, whatever normal means.
So, I answered back that "I think life will be different with 100lbs gone. There will be more opportunities to go for walks, take trips, go swimming, play raquetball, go skiing, play baseball, run around with the neices and nephews, etc. Plus, you will feel like moving more and easier. I have a feeling that life won't necessarily be harder or easier, but it will be more fun, more interesting and more rewarding."
that is more than enough for today. back to work
more later...
